The Natalie M. LaPrade Medical Cannabis Commission Reform Act (the “Act”), Chapter 598 of the Acts of 2018, authorizes the MMCC to issue a limited number of additional licenses to grow and process medical cannabis in Maryland. The MMCC anticipates that up to four (4) additional grower licenses and ten (10) additional processor licenses will be available.

The MMCC will accept questions related to either the grower or processor applications or any of the accompanying guidance documents until February 11, 2019, at 5:00 PM. Questions must be submitted via email to Applications.MMCC@Maryland.Gov.

The MMCC will review, answer, and post responses to each substantive question received during the 30-day question period prior to the release of the final application materials.

Pursuant to House Bill 2/Chapter 598 (2018), the MMCC is authorized to award up to 4 additional medical cannabis grower licenses and 10 medical cannabis processor licenses.
